Brazilian street artist Andre Gonzaga has, over time, been working on a project Eu vejo coisas (I See Things), where he looks for naturally decaying structures and gives them life. Well, he gives them faces, some partial, some a conglomeration of many faces.
All of the works are striking, some unsettling. There are couple cute ones in the mix.
Gonzaga uses the moniker Dalata for his street art. While the faces have been an ongoing project, he has many more murals painted in the more traditional street art vein. He appears to be quite prolific. His work can been seen throughout the world. This year alone he painted in Senegal, Portugal, Berlin, Amsterdam and Brazil (his native country).
Even when painting more traditionally, faces creep into his work. I love his use of color. See much more of his work at the various links above and below.
