Little Lies We Tell Ourselves

It appears to be illustration day at GMWW. I like to mix up the topics but I couldn’t resist these posters of little white lies we tell ourselves. There are some that I’ve muttered to myself from time to time – for instance, I know I’m not the tidiest person, but that becomes painfully apparent when living with a much tidier person.

Lauren Hom created this series, Daily Dishonesty: Lovely little lies from a hungry graphic designer to give the sympatico amongst us a chance to own our weaknesses in print. She has a few other “dishonesties” to share (sounds so much better than lies) and adds new ones over time.

These are the confessions that are most applicable to my life (who needs therapy and exercise when you can shop and then reward your misdeed with a glass of wine?) but you’ll find some others that might resonate with you on her site. Prints are also available for purchase.

Ha! I remember your telling me you weren’t participating in Get Fit because you were worried you’d start counting shopping as minutes if you weren’t meeting the goals. Too funny.

Too funny – I don’t remember saying that but clearly, things have not changed. Though this year, I acknowledge that I need me some get fit minutes and the holidays haven’t even started!
