Photo Day, September 5th

Lion statues outside of libraries, museums… I get it. Miniature cast concrete versions outside of your home? This I don’t quite understand. The grandeur is gone and in very little time, those statues look tired and worn. Hardly a protective, fierce keeper for your home.

A house in my old neighborhood had lion statues that would don peaked snow caps after a storm. I always intended to take a photo but the winter storms have been unreliable. If we see some snow this winter, I may need to take a brief visit to the old hood so I can share lions with snowy dunce caps.
