A Perspective of the American West

It’s true of many art forms, but I’ll still say that one aspect of photography that speaks to me is point of view. Endless people could visit the same places, but none would walk away with the same image. Each artist shows us a place, a person through their unique perspective. That perspective is part character, experience and outlook.

Jacob Mooty shows us his American West. It’s an iconic place that continues to represent the opportunity it held in the frontier days, but the landscape and the people have shifted from an idea, an adventure to everyday reality.
