I’ve probably groaned about this before since it’s one of my pet peeves (pun intended); people should not own a dog if they can’t pick up after it. I used to live near a dog park and I’m only exaggerating slightly when I say that the poop littering the sidewalks was an epidemic. There was a running joke that you had to have poop-dar to safely navigate the neighborhood.

Mexican internet company Terra devised a campaign to simultaneously promote their free wifi in the park service and encourage people to be responsible dog owners. Each time someone makes a deposit, the time meter for free wifi increases; more poo, more free internet. It’s a witty Pavlovian technique to reward people for doing what they should be doing anyway.
